Fine TV - Malaysia’s 3rd Pay Television Operator
If you're new here, you may want to subscribe to my RSS feed. Or you could get Wahlau.NET daily post through your email. Thanks for visiting!

I have just read the news regarding Fine TV from TheStar and I take a peep at their homepage at http://www.finetv.com.my.
It is mainly a flash base website and it keeps opening new browser. Fine TV is targeting at Lower One time registration fee and monthly subscription fee of RM38.
For registration you will receive The Set Top Box with remote control and Goodie bag. Oh Goodie Bag? Did I see wrongly. Here. I wonder what it will include?
But I have noticed that the channel is even worst then MiTV. Here is a list of some:-
It is stated that you are able to surf and send email via your television. But it is no free internet because the requirement is that you need to have a broadband and telephone line in order to register. Indirectly, if you do not have a broadband, you are paying at least RM93/month already.
I just did not get this at the end of the article.

Ida Rahayu said charges ranged from 20 sen to RM5 a programme, depending on the type of programme. Payment can be made via credit card and the short messaging service (SMS) facility.
Am I still paying extra for the programme I watched?
I hope that they are adding more stuff before their launch on December.
Also, I wonder how did MiTV did? Any Subscriber out there? Is it any good? But it is looking way better than Fine TV in my opinion.

Yea FineTv is like a pay per view service if I’m not mistaken. That’s where they get their name…kena fine each time u watch…hurhurhur…nothing beats Astro’s marketing.
Yup, I think so too. But I think that astro monopoly by not allowing other competitor to get channel like MTV, HBO, Discovery or ESPN which is the main channel of paid television operator.
Yeah,Fine TV create their own tv channels, but the
contents inside the channel is 90% from outside Malaysia. Compare to other pay tv, they buying the channels together with the contents inside.
