I noticed from a friend that I am able to run php scripts on desktop alone recently. Therefore, I started to look for those program. It was a big hassle, whereby you need to download the following:-

1. Apache (or any other IIS)
2. PHP
3. MySQL
4. phpMyAdmin

I tried downloading those stuff one by one and started installing them. I found this website with all the steps by steps installing this WAMP (Windows Apache MySQL PHP) and also tried refering to another website. Both have a different approach, but it didn’t work out well, none of it work after configuring them. I started searching again on Google and thank god that I found this Web-Developer Server Suite.

It is so easy, just click and follow the steps to install. One file does it all. Although it is pretty huge with 39.1mb but it is well worth it and much easier. Now I am able to run wordpress on my desktop.

It is nice to be able to run any php scripts on your desktop before uploading them online as you are able to test things and environment refresh much faster. This is where I started to work on my Black N White theme too, it took pretty long time and lots of reading, but it is well worth it.

I have created a new theme. This is it, you are looking at it. It is a simple black and white theme. The plus side of this theme is that picture will look a lot nicer as the background is black and all colour will be sharper and stronger. Also, With this theme, adsense are able to blend into the theme easily which makes it look like part of the page.

This themes was actually edited from WinterDay by Kristin K. Wangen. As I have little experience in php coding and css, it is very though to start froms scratch, but this theme was edited a lot in the point of colours, navigation panel added for pages, sidebar placement was changed, added some new stuff and features and much more. I have plan to include more feature for this theme.

Yesterday I got a courier from Taiwan and inside it have my Windows Vista Home Premium upgrade from my recently bought computer. I paid RM320 for the Windows XP Home Media Center and the actual OEM version now cost RM395, so I guess it is a pretty good deal.

My brother actually bought a Vista pre-installed laptop and it is way unstable, therefore I am not going to do anything with it yet but to let it collect some dust.

I have just found out about Ning.Com. The idea is pretty smart as they are like friendster/myspace but you are able to make community as I have made my community for Malaysian Blogger at MyBloggers.Ning.Com.

Why I call it a smart idea?
Ning.com is actually allowing user to run ads on their own social network and also using your own domain name for a price.

This way, people will try to promote their community as there is forum, picture and video sharing. I think more feature will be added in the future. But you will have to get at least 200-300 active members to earn more than USD24.90/mth for your cost (I estimate). Maybe someone can give me some idea.

The rss feeds could only retreive from only one website. My initial plan was to include all member feeds in my community. But looks like it is not possible currently.
