Have you heard of Firefly, a whole own subsidary of Malaysia Airline. I bet most of you all know by now with all major newspaper writing about it. Recently, I was trying to check rates for some local flight and Firefly come across my mind. I started searching for Firefly on Google and tried http://www.firefly.com.my. And guess what I have found? “Penjimat Minyak dan Penambahkuasa Enjin”.

Next step in finding Firefly Website is via http://www.malaysiaairlines.com, but there is not link to Firefly. Luckily, I found the Firefly website through Wikipedia (Firefly airline).
So, this is a charity post to promote our 3rd Malaysia low cost carrier. http://www.fireflyz.com.my. Remember the ‘z’.
I don’t understand why they register fireflyz.com.my. Even if they do not want to invest. They could register domain like fireflyairline.com.my. Plus Fireflyairline.com, fireflyairlines, myfirefly.com.my, airfirefly.com is all recently registered in March and April of 2007.
But I do hope for the success of Malaysian Airline.

Penjimat minyak dan penambahkuasa enjin. LOL. thats a good find.
wahhh.. long time i didn’t visit your blog. ever since the first tag you did and you gone abroad.
Thanks for dropping by again friend.
hehe…yup i am pretty busy with my schedule. Thanks for dropping by.
On top of that, pls don’t try your luck to take firefly airline if you have very tight timeline. From my experience, Firefly airline is not so reliable. I missed the last boat to Pulau Redang when Firefly just delay the flight at the 11th hour.
No customer service or support is available in this case too…only 2 options:
(1) cancel your flight and get a refund or (2) reschedule your flight…They just ignore all the hassle, opportunity cost and inconvenience caused by the delay of the flights conveniently…
In view of this unpleasant incident to lose both monetary on additional hotel accommodation and loss of accommodation and vacation time at Pulau Redang, we have filed a complaint and request for compensation as advised by Firefly customer service personnel via email to feedback@fireflyz.com.my. To our surprise and disappointment, it takes 3-4 weeks for Firefly to respond and reject our claim with a simple note “Your request of compensation has been declined” and no feedback to our complaint.
Personally, I view this kind of service as irresponsible and would like to share our experience and suggest those who really stretch on their time for not trying your luck and taking the risk. It is not worth to waste both your valuable time and money this way….
WL: i think this is what you expect when you are taking budget airline. But if my interpretation is correct, delayed by 11 hours is outrageous.
Hi, so far i haven’t faced any problem travel with Firefly. Although is a small aircraft, budget airline , but for me, it is less hassle, it is convenient esp flying out from Subang. I’m so impressed with their ground staff helping me when i have to carry a big baggage for check in. ANyway, great to hear that Firefly now free extra 5kg checked in baggage..haha….fall in love with turboprop…
oh ya..additional…in facts Air Asia turn me down…where i was scolded by their crew for taking photo in the cabin…i m so sad for that….y they have this stupid rules? …
Firefly having RM 0 to all destinations now! hmmm.. still thinking to buy or not.. but no harm to try. Free ticket ma!!
8dee 11th hr is a term, la as in “last min”. Bukan dia got stuck for 11 hrs….
