4mbps Streamyx

Rarely, I buy newspaper these day as I prefer reading them from my computer. Just yesterday, I was in immigration building thinking that the process will take me hours, I bought TheStar, and I just know that streamyx is rolling out a new package 4mbps.

But just to clarify, will streamyx let us have 4mbps???? If internet becomes slow and everyone complain, do they blame us that we download too much?
The cost, RM198/month (Normal price RM268/mth), you will also get Modem, tmnet Hotspot, e-browser(online newspaper) and BB phone (voice over broadband).
It is weird that they roll out the campaign on newspaper but their website are not updated. This is what I see from streamyx packages.
Enjoy the fastest speed ever!

Let’s hold out for Wimax at the end of the year, hopefully, competition would force TMNet to improve…
still a snail…
Streamyx, I’m looking for 100Mbps..
Note : best effort
Look at their t&c.
issue - dominating market. Most last mile belong to TMNet
wireless constraint - WiMAX can be applied to the backbone. Yet the users are still bounded by WiFi solution.
Fiber? what fiber? we don’t have much options ler.
TMNet is a disgrace to all Malaysian.
wow iceman: guess the ice can cover your heat towards tmnet. I must say, it is kind of bad comparing service from overseas.
Currently, it is the best as the monopolize the backbone which is the telephone line
Hey, I’m on the 4mb package. According to my dsl status, my download is 5120 and download is 512. But but but.. the fact that it might just reach that oo well deserved (and paid) speed.. well.. you know I know we all know. It can get decently good. But I’ve been having problems connecting twice in two months consecutively. The first complaint, it took them 1 week to resolve (or magically fix the problem). While talking to the call agent, your call can magically get disconnected. With 4MB subscription, your entitled to be supported by their “purpotedly Special Support Team”. What a freakin joke. The technicians are nothing but a bunch of fresh grads or no knowledge worker who all they do is sort of the cabling.
