Blackle is actually using Google Search Engine with a black templates. It claims that you are saving energy when you are using black background. Seems to make sense a little when you think that the monitor actually does not have to do anything to produce black pixel, not sure if it is the truth.
Anyhow, it generates money for the owner of blackle when some searches and click on the adwords.
