Playing Dota on Vista

I just tried to install Warcraft III on my Vista and it seems that Vista have some firewall against online games. I wasn’t able to connect to Battle.net even after I tried refreshing the ip and restarting the computer.Finally, I found out that it is something Vista did that prevented Warcraft to connects to the battle.net.

It is actually pretty simple, all you have to run the program as administrator. First you go to the program icon and right click on the program. Select “Run as Administrator”.

    That’s the problem with Vista…. you need to set as administrator…. even though you are logged in as an administrator….

    I think it a security measures….. to make sure you are really an administrator and not some virus trying to modify windows or something……
