Sony Ericsson is releasing its first phone with its trademark name, Xperia X1. It will not be released until the second half of this year. The question which a lot will be asking is ”Will it be better than iPhone which have already launch its 16GB iPhone. It will be using Windows Mobile 6. It is not tied with Windows Mobile, which you will be able to use other platform later and maybe Android.
From the spec, it is definately better but it will only be released later of this year.
The pros:-
- Qwerty Keyboard - Typing
- 4 way key and optical joystick - Navigation
- Arc Slider - Looks nice
- Windows Mobile & Flexible platform is one thing that iPhone will always be lack. Therefore, we will be expecting more software and games be made for Windows Mobile.
- GPS
The cons:-
- 3.2mb pixel camera with auto focus - This might be a little outdated after 6 months.
- 400mb phone memory - This is definately small, considering if someone is planing to upload a movie onto the phone.
I could not find if the resistive 3-inch VGA touchscreen is similar with iPhone multi-fingers touch screen, for the ease of navigation. If it does use stylus, you could say bye bye to this phone.
