I am sure that most people already know that BeijingTicketing.com is a scam website trying to get other people credit card and personal detail by selling Beijing Olympic 2008 tickets.
For those who don’t know about this could read them at CNN news. This picture sourced from CNN is a print screen of the BeijingTicketing.com before it is shut down few days prior to the Official Opening Ceremony of Beijing 2008.
This is a huge blow to those who are scammed, even more for those who flew there thinking that they will be at the stadium rather than looking at the haze of the fireworks outside the stadium.
Unfortunately, Google is even acting slower. As of today 12 Aug, 2008, A search for “Olympic Tickets” still shows that BeijingTicketing.com at the second placing. FYI Cosport.com is the official Olympic ticket seller for United States.
Another news from LiveNews actually show the fake tickets sent to them and they look very real to me. I can’t blame those who wants to see the opening ceremony so badly, but when there is a demand, someone will try to supply. This is just the very basic of the economy.
Even an Internet Entrepreneur who runs an online retailing website fall for this:-
David Boctor, a Los Angeles Internet entrepreneur who runs his own online retail store, paid beijingticketing.com $12,230 for hard-to-get tickets to the Olympic opening ceremony, swimming and diving.
He told the LA Times he became suspicious when the company stopped answering his phone calls in April and his credit card was charged for airline tickets he did not buy.

The person behind this Terance Shepherd from British is believe to be the mastermind behind BeijingTicketing.com. I think he is smart enough not to get caught since he did not get caught so far.

Predictable. Scam is just waiting opportunity to strike. Even if we aware but they are looking way to lure you into their scam. Is ongoing process.
