I like the idea of Avego that provides a mobile car pooling system using the mobile phone. It would most probably requires unlimited internet connection / partial internet connection in order to track other car poolers and hitchhikers.
You may also choose to act like a taxi, whereby you share the cost of moving around. How cool is that?
